Detailed Itinerary
Day01 Arrive in Beijing
Our guide will meet you at Beijing airport and transfer you to the hotel. After a short rest, we will stroll around Tian'an Men Square, the heart of Beijing and then tour the Forbidden City, the most complete ancient imperial palace in the world. Then you could end your day with another highlight Beijing Opera in evening (optional). |
Day 02: Beijing
Visit the Great Wall in Badaling section, one of the man-made wonders of world. After lunch, explore the Ming Tombs, home to the burial Chambers of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty. At the end of the day, indulge in a succulent Peking Duck dinner and enjoy the famous Shaoling temple Kung fu show in the evening, which is a great show for the kids and adults alike (optional). |
Day03: Beijing/Datong
It is free for you to dispose in the morning and then take the afternoon train to Datong. Your tour guide will meet you at Datong train station and then transfer you to the hotel for rest. |
Day04: Datong
After breakfast, we will drive to the Yungang Grotto, one of the three major cave clusters in China; punctuate the north cliff of Wuzhou Mountain. The area was excavated along the mountain, extending 1 km (0.62 miles) from east to west, revealing 53 caves and over 51,000 stone statues. Then we will pay a visit to the Hanging Temple which was built more than 1400 years ago, this temple is unique not only for its location on a sheer precipice but also because it includes Buddhist, Taoist, and Confucian elements. Then we will take the evening train to Pingyao, which retains its city layout from the Ming and Qing dynasties, conforming to a typical bagua pattern. |
Day 05: Pingyao
Pinyao is now renowned for its well-preserved ancient city wall, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today we will first visit the City Walls and then we will stroll around the Ming Qing Street, have a look at the ancient money exchange shop- Ri Shengchang Money-exchange Shop, visit the Shuang Lin Temple which is a part of the World Heritage Site of Pingyao, stands in the countryside about 7 kilometers southwest of the ancient city. It is notable for its collection of over two thousand decorated clay statues dating from the 12th-19th centuries. and Zhen Guo Temple It is typical of the Five Dynasties Period, (907-960AD) and is registered as the 3rd oldest and valuable building in China. Day 06: Luoyang
Arrive Luoyang in the morning, your tour guide will meet and transfer you to the hotel for rest. Late this day, we may visit the Longmen Grotto, another famous treasure house of stone inscriptions in China. |
Day 07: Luoyang
Today we will visit The Shaolin Temple, which is reputed to be 'the Number One Temple under Heaven'. The temple is the cradle of the Chinese Zen Buddhism and the Shaolin Martial Arts such as Shaolin Cudgel Shaolin Temple. Pagoda Forest in Shaolin Temple was a concentration of tomb pagodas for eminent monks, abbots and ranking monks at the temple. You may also appreciate the Kung Fu show later this day. |
Day 08 Luoyang/Xian
We may take the morning train to Xi'an from Luoyang, after around 5 hours' run; you will arrive in the ancient city-Xi'an. The rest time is free for you to dispose. |
Day 09: Xian
After breakfast, visit the Shaanxi History Museum considering it an obligation to be a showcase of ancient civilizations. Then for the Big-Wild-Goose Pagoda, which is completed in 652, or the 3rd year of Yonghui reign of the Tang emperor Gaozong. The 64.1-metre-high Pagoda in Ci'en Temple is a pavilion-like brick structure whose serene and well-proportioned form has become the emblem of Xian. Have a view of the Ancient City Wall, an extension of the old Tang Dynasty structure boasting the most complete city wall that survives through Chinese long history Complete the day with the Tang Dynasty shows at Shaanxi Grand Opera Theatre where the Dumpling Dinner is served. |
Day10: Xi'an/Guilin
In the morning visit the Museum of Terra-cotta Army, the mighty army of terracotta warriors and horses. It was found in three vaults 39 km east of Xi'an and 1.5km from the Qin emperor's mausoleum and is perhaps the most popular tourist attraction of Shaanxi. An inside museum has been built as the Eighth World Wonder and a world cultural heritage site. Then you will board a flight to Guilin, and check in at the hotel upon arrival. |

Day 11: Guilin/Yangshuo
The highlight of today is the Li River Cruise. This cruise along the Li River between Guilin and Yangshuo is an unforgettable experience. As you take in the stunning scenery there's something interesting to see at almost every bend in the river. If you're very lucky you might see one of the famous fishing cormorants. After the cruise, we are arriving Yangshuo. Then you will have the time free to be totally relaxed. You can hire a bicycle enjoying the breathtaking scenery around the town or wander along the West Street or having a pot of tea in a sidewalk cafe. |
Day 12: Yangshuo/Guilin/Hangzhou
In the morning, biking via country road through the countryside and visit Moon Hill, in the afternoon, drive back to Guilin; visit the famous Reed Flute Cave. The huge cavern is known as the Palace of Natural Arts. Then Take the afternoon flight to Hangzhou. |
Day 13: Hangzhou/Suzhou
After breakfast, take the cruise on the West Lake. West Lake is the symbol of Hangzhou as well as one of the most beautiful sights in China. Then visit the Lingyin Temple, one of the ten most famous ancient Buddhist temples in China and famous for its more than 470 stone carvings of Buddhist figures, which dated from the 10th to 14th centuries. Then we will take the train to Suzhou directly. |
Day 14: Suzhou/Tongli/Shanghai
After the sightseeing to the Master of Nets Garden, one of the most famous Gardens in Suzhou, we may drive to Tongli town, it is a really wonderful travel destination where you can spend a marvelous holiday or experience traditional Chinese culture. Follow our guide and you will have a general idea of this captivating water-town. After that we may head to Shanghai. You may stroll around the Bund by yourself upon your arrival. |
Day 15: Departure
Airport transfer and seeing off.Tour ends.
