Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Beijing
Our guide will meet you at Beijing airport and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure to recover from the jet lag. |
Day 02: Beijing
Our first stop this morning will be Tian'an Men Square, the heart of Beijing and then tour the Forbidden City, the most complete ancient imperial palace in the world and the Summer Palace, one of the China's largest and best-preserved imperial gardens Then you could end your day with another highlight Beijing Opera in evening (optional). |
Day 03: Beijing
Visit the Great Wall in Mutianyu section, one of the man-made wonders of world. After lunch, explore the Ming Tombs, home to the burial Chambers of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty. At the end of the day, indulge in a succulent Peking Duck dinner and enjoy the famous Shaoling temple Kung fu show in the evening, which is a great show for the kids and adults alike (optional). |
Day 04: Beijing/Xian
In the morning you will visit Hutongs by rickshaw, lunch will be served in one of the local people's home during the tour, where you can learn how to make dumplings, After lunch have a tour for the Temple of Heaven, which is the largest building complex in ancient times dedicated to rituals that pay homage to the glory of heaven. After dinner, transfer to the train station for Xian, the train ride will take you around 11 hrs. |
Day 05: Xian
Arrive in Xian in the morning, transfer to the hotel for a little rest and have a wash. After breakfast, visit the Shaanxi History Museum considering it an obligation to be a showcase of ancient civilizations. Then for the Big-Wild-Goose Pagoda, which is completed in 652, or the 3rd year of Yonghui reign of the Tang emperor Gaozong. The 64.1-metre-high Pagoda in Ci'en Temple is a pavilion-like brick structure whose serene and well-proportioned form has become the emblem of Xian. Complete the day with the Tang Dynasty shows at Shaanxi Grand Opera Theatre where the Dumpling Dinner is served. |

Day 06: Xian/Chengdu
In the morning visit the Museum of Terra-cotta Army, the mighty army of terracotta warriors and horses. It was found in three vaults 39 km east of Xi'an and 1.5km from the Qin emperor's mausoleum and is perhaps the most popular tourist attraction of Shaanxi. An inside museum has been built as the Eighth World Wonder and a world cultural heritage site. After that stroll in the ancient city to have a view of the Ancient City Wall, an extension of the old Tang Dynasty structure boasting the most complete city wall that survives through Chinese long history. Then you will board a flight to Chengdu, and check in at the hotel upon arrival. |
Day 07: Chengdu
In the morning, we leave Chengdu for the Research Base for Giant Panda Breeding just 10 kms north to Chengdu, where you can see the lovely tender pandas. You can also take pictures with a panda in your arms by donating some money. Then drive to Sanxingdui museum in Guanghan. In the afternoon we will have a good look of Sanxingdui Museum to learn about ancient Shu culture which features, its bronze articles, jade articles, potteries etc. You will be shocked by the amazing and mystic culture originated 4,500 years. Finish the day with the well-known Sichuan cuisine dinner (optional). |
Day 08: Chengdu
In the morning have a visit to Qingyang Palace which is a Taoist temple with a history of more than 1,000 years, then we visit traditional Chinese tea skill performance and Sichuan Embroidery Factory to see the handicraft of Sichuan silk. Go to a local Sichuan restaurant to have a taste of Sichuan snacks. In the afternoon, we will visit the Temple of Marquis Wu, a shrine to memorize Zhugeliang, the premier of Shu kingdom during China's Three Kingdom period. Visit Jinli Street, a street features west Sichuan province custom. During the evening, you are strongly recommended to watch the show of Sichuan opera and you can appreciate the unique skills of local arts such as puppet show, hand shadow show and so on (optional). |
Day 09: Chengdu/Chongqing/Dazu County
Take a 4-hour direct train to Chongqing today. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the small county-Dazu, where famous Dazu Stone Carving as a World Cultural Heritage Site is. |
Day 10: Dazu County /Chongqing
In the morning, visit Dazu Stone Carving, which spreads across more than 75 sites in the county, and contain over 50,000 stone sculptures carved from the Tang Dynasty (618-907) to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). After lunch, drive to Chongqing. End the day with boarding the cruise ship where you will spend the night. |

Day 11: Chongqing/Fengdu
At 08:00 am your memorable Yangtze River tour begins. In the afternoon the ship will stop at Fengdu, where you will visit the Ghost City, which is famous for its temple dedicated to the King of the Underworld, an association dating back to the Han Dynasty. Around 20:00 Captain's Welcome Party presents Chinese folk dancing and music performance. |
Day 12: Badong (Shennong Stream)/Xiling Gorge
Begin the passage with Qutang Gorge, the shortest and the grandest of the Three Gorges. View the exquisite peaks and grotesquely shaped rocks. Pass the Wu Gorge with its famous lofty and misty peaks. Disembark at Badong for an excursion to the Shennong Stream. The trip features natural beauty and an exciting boat ride drifting along the crystal stream. The pea boat allows you to experience a speedy adventure and have a close look at mossy rocks, verdant plants, plank roads, ancient coffins and precious animals. The unique songs of the local Tujia people are very impressive. The continue sailing into the western section of Xiling Gorge. A Farewell Party tonight invites you to perform dancing or musical instruments with the cruise staff. |
Day 13: Yichang/Shanghai
After breakfast visit the under constructed Three Gorges Dam. At 11:30 you will arrive in Yichang and our local guides will get on board to meet you. Visit the Yichang Museum if time permits. Our guide sees you off to take the afternoon flight to Shanghai. This evening will be free for you to explore something of Shanghai and maybe enjoy your dinner at one of the many cafes or restaurants there. |
Day 14: Shanghai
You will visit the Jade Buddha Temple which is one of the most famous Buddhist temples to be found in Shanghai and the beautiful Yuyuan Garden, traditional Chinese park decorated by beautiful pavilions, miniature lakes, bridges and rock formations. After lunch, take a relaxing cruise tour on Huangpu River, you will experience the prosperity of modern Shanghai. And then, have a tour to the Oriental Pearl Tower which stands by the bank of Huangpu River. It is in the centre of Lujiazui, opposite to the Bund which is famous for its grand buildings of various architectural styles. Stroll in the Bund which is the waterfront area of Pu Xi (West City) that faces the newer part of Shanghai - Pu Dong (East City). The Bund has been regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years, and the Nanjing Road which is one of the most important commercial and tourist streets in Shanghai. |
Day 15: Departure from Shanghai
After breakfast, you will travel to the airport for your homeward flight by yourselves. Tour ends and welcomes your next coming. |
