Detailed Itinerary

Day 01 - 06

Day 01: Arrival in Xian
Our guide will meet you at Xian airport and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure to recover from the jet lag. Enjoy the Tang Dynasty Show in the evening.

Day 02: Jinyang County-Hukou
We will drive about 1 and half hour to arrive Jinyang County which is near Xian. Firstly, we will take a visit to Milk Cow Farm to see the traditional raising ways to livestock in Chinese countryside. You will see the Cave House which is a kind of traditional house for people in northern Shanxi Province with unique style. At the same time, you will also have a look on the modern buildings in this small village. One hour later, we will visit the Primary School in Wuan Village, we will hold a small ceremony to donate books and stationeries to the students and have a welcome party with these lovely children. After lunch at the local farmer’s house, drive to Hukou in the afternoon. En route, we will visit Huangdi Mausoleum, memorial mausoleum of legendary Hudangdi, is the most important ancient grave site in China.

Day 03: Hukou-Yanan
In the morning, we will firstly have a visit of the Hukou Waterfalls of the Yellow River which is the only Yellow Waterfall on earth. After we appreciate the river and landscapes, we will drive about 3 hours to Yanan for our lunch. Yanan is located in the heart of northern border region’s Yellow Soil Plateau, is famed as the terminus of the long march and the de facto capital (1936–47, 1948–9) of the Chinese Communists. In the afternoon, we will view the famous Pagoda Hill and Yan'an. The Pagoda Hill is also known as "Jialingshan Hill". The ancient pagoda above the hill was buit in the Tang dynasty, which was more than 1,300 years ago. Finally, we will visit The Date Garden Site. Enjoy the Chinese First Waist Drum Performance in the evening, as well as Folk Song Performance and join the Bonfire Party if you like.

Day 04: Yanan-SuiDe
In the morning you will visit The Yangjialing Revolutionary Site, used to be the general office of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, the Seventh National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party was held here in 1945. Arrive in SuiDe County after 2 hours driving, we will visit the Fusu Graveyard where buried the oldest son of Qingshihuang. Lunch at the local restaurant, and dinner in hotel.

Day 05: SuiDe-Pingyao
Drive to Pingyao about 3 hours, have a short rest after your arrival. You could stroll in this old town before having lunch in local restaurant. Pingyao is located about 100km from Taiyuan by the River Fen, this central area of Shanxi Province is widely known for its numerous historical and cultural sites. In the afternoon, you will begin your visit to the Ancient City Wall, which it is one of the best-preserved ancient city walls in China. Rishengchang Exchange Shop, this shop is China's first bank and was originally established in 1823. As well as Ming and Qing Street which is also called Nanda Jie, it is one of the best places to explore ancient Chinese culture. Having a Farewell Party in the evening, say goodbye to your friends.

Day06: Pingyao-Taiyuan
After breakfast, we will drive to Taiyuan, our tour ends.
