Sichuan Chengdu Tea Culture Tour
Day 01 Arrive in Chengdu
Arrive in Chengdu today, be picked up and transferred to your hotel. Centrally located in the western Sichuan Plain, Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, is renowned for its fertile land and agricultural wealth, which have earned the city the nickname "Storehouse of Heaven". Have a little rest in your hotel, then we start to visit tea house to enjoy the Sichuan tea culture with Sichuan Opera Show.
Day 02 Chengdu
In the morning have a visit to Qingyang Palace which is a Taoist temple with a history of more than 1,000 years, then we visit traditional Chinese tea skill performance and Sichuan Embroidery Factory to see the handicraft of Sichuan silk. Go to a local Sichuan restaurant to have a taste of Sichuan snacks. In the afternoon, we will visit the Temple of Marquis Wu, a shrine to memorize Zhugeliang, the premier of Shu kingdom during China's Three Kingdom period. Visit Jinli Street, a street features west Sichuan province custom.Finish the day with the well-known Sichuan cuisine dinner (optional).
Day 03Chengdu/Mengdingshan
Drive to Mengdingshan today. Mt. Mengding is one of the origins of world tea culture. The saying "The best water is from the Yangtze River whereas the best tea is from Mt. Mengding" reflects the time-honored reputation of the Sichudn tea culture. Upon arrive in Royal Tea Garden, visit the fist museum of tea in Sichuan, then tea break at Tian'gai Temple, tea related poem steles, evening briefing on tea culture.
Day 04 Mengdinshan/Ya'an
Visit tea factory to be briefed of the tea processing, tea picking in the plantation, Tea Sage Wu Li Zheng's statue, then continue to Ya'an in the afternoon.
Day 05 Ya'an / Rongjing / Ya'an
Visit brick tea factory, taste and accept brick tea. In the Han Dynasty, Sima Xiang-ru opened the Lingguan Path. Since then, Yingjing brick tea has been flowing to the Tibetan areas through the path. So it has become a link between the Han and the Tibetan civilization.
Day 06 Ya'an/Chengdu
In the morning, visit Bi Feng Xia, a large ecological park in the mountains. The valley consists of three parts – a panda breeding park, a nature reserve and a zoo. In the late afternoon, proceed to Chengdu.
Day 07 Leave
Your driver and guide will come to hotel to pick you up to the airport and you will take the flight out China. We look forward to your next time exploring China. Tour ends.
