ATT Foundation for the earthquake orphans has been set up
A strong earthquake measuring 8.0 on the Richter scale has rocked Wenchuan in Sichuan province, some 92km northwest of Chengdu. The earthquake took place at 14:28 Beijing Time and tremors were felt as far as Wuhan, Shanghai and Beijing. The quake, whose death toll has had risen to 32,477 nationwide as of 2 p.m. on 18 May, has seriously damaged buildings, bridges and other public facilities in an area of more than 100,000 square kilometers, the number of injured reached 220,109, and this number is still constantly increasing. In an instant tens of thousands children lost their home and families during the earthquake.
Now ATT foundation for the earthquake orphans has been set up, the donations will be used to meet the earthquake orphans'most urgent needs such as foods and clothes, help them restore the education system, and support the physical or psychological cure.
